This Cookie Policy explains how Seldon Ventures, L.L.C., doing business as Endless Data ("Endless Data," "we," "us" or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on endless-data.com and our customer portal and APIs (together, the "Site"). It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more generally.
What cookies are. Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site recognize your device, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels and SDKs; this Policy refers to all of them as "cookies."
Cookies can be first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by another company whose service we use). They can be session cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which stay on your device for a set period.
1. Cookies we use
We group cookies into four categories. Strictly necessary cookies are always on; the others load only with your consent where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and UK), and you can change your choice at any time (Section 3).
| Category | Purpose | Examples (name · provider · duration) |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Sign-in and session security, load balancing, CSRF protection, remembering your cookie choices, fraud prevention on the customer portal and API | __session · Endless Data · session; csrf_token · Endless Data · session; cookie_consent · Endless Data · 12 months; __cf_bm · Cloudflare · 30 minutes |
| Functional | Remembering preferences such as language, time zone, and portal layout | ed_prefs · Endless Data · 12 months |
| Analytics | Understanding which pages are visited, how long for, and where visitors come from, so we can improve the Site. Data is aggregated and IP addresses are truncated where the tool allows. | _ga, _ga_* · Google Analytics · 2 years |
| Marketing | Measuring the effectiveness of our B2B campaigns and showing relevant information about our Data Products on other sites | li_sugr, bcookie · LinkedIn Insight Tag · 6 months; _gcl_au · Google Ads · 3 months |
We do not use cookies to profile individuals for eligibility decisions, and we do not place cookies in the Data Products we license.
2. Third-party cookies and tools
Some cookies are set by third parties that provide services to us. These providers may use the information they collect in accordance with their own privacy policies:
| Provider | Purpose | Privacy information |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Content delivery, security, bot protection | cloudflare.com/privacypolicy |
| Google Analytics | Website analytics | policies.google.com/privacy · opt-out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout |
| B2B campaign measurement | linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy · opt-out: linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls | |
| HubSpot | CRM, forms and email tracking | legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy |
Where marketing cookies send your activity on our Site to an advertising platform, this may count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out as described in Section 3.
3. How to manage cookies
Cookie banner and settings. When you first visit from a jurisdiction that requires consent, a banner lets you accept all, reject all, or choose categories; non-essential cookies are not set until you choose. You can reopen these settings at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the Site footer. We keep a record of your choice for 12 months, after which we will ask again.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information collected through the Site and disable marketing cookies for that browser automatically.
Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Instructions for common browsers:
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in to the customer portal or using parts of the Site.
Provider opt-outs. You can also opt out of individual providers using the links in Section 2, or of many advertising networks at once through the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, or, in Europe, Your Online Choices.
4. Do Not Track
There is no common industry standard for browser "Do Not Track" signals, so we do not respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control signals as described above.
5. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as our use of cookies changes. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date and, where required, ask for your consent again.
